Early Years Foundation Stage SEN Teacher
  • Daily Rate: £150 - £220
  • Location: Rugby
  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent/Temporary to Permanent

Reed Education are searching for an outstanding EYFS SEN Teacher to join a forward-thinking school that opened recently, specialising in the education of children with autism and speech and communication needs. This role is available on a permanent basis or as a temporary to permanent position for the ideal candidate, aiming to create a nurturing and inclusive educational setting.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver personalised support and interventions for pupils with Autism (ASD) and associated communication (SLCN) needs.
  • Design and implement engaging lessons and activities that meet the varied needs of learners within the alternative resource provision.
  • Collaborate with mainstream class teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support and student progression.
  • Develop and oversee individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies to foster positive outcomes for pupils.
  • Establish a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where each student feels valued and empowered to excel.
  • Consistently monitor and evaluate pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies to accommodate individual learning needs.
  • Participate in continuous professional development to advance the school’s SEN provision.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teaching (ECT) applicants are welcome.
  • Proven experience with SEN pupils, especially those with Autism (ASD) and communication (SLCN) challenges.
  • Proficient in inclusive teaching practices and differentiating instruction to meet individual needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, parents, and external partners.
  • Resilience, enthusiasm, and a dedicated commitment to the education and development of pupils with special educational needs.
  • Good references and an Enhanced DBS are essential.
