Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - KS1 - Cottingley, Leeds.

At Accelerate Teaching, we are looking for a HLTA for full-time opportunity to join a primary school in the Cottingley area of Leeds, West Yorkshire. This long-term position that will commence in September 2024 and offers ongoing potential with scope to become permanent in the future.

Role Overview: As a KS1 HLTA, you will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and enhancing the learning experience of young students. You will lead small group interventions, support classroom activities, and provide tailored assistance to pupils to ensure their educational and emotional needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and delivering engaging lessons and activities.
  • Lead small group sessions to reinforce learning.
  • Support individual students with targeted interventions.
  • Collaborate with teachers to assess and track student progress.
  • Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience working within KS1.
  • Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and learning strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passionate about supporting children's educational development.
