Position: SEN Primary Teaching Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personalised support to primary school students with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the attention and care they deserve.
• Assist in the development and implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) and effective behaviour management strategies.
• Collaborate closely with class teachers and the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to deliver targeted interventions and tailored support.
• Foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that promotes the academic and personal growth of every student.
• Encourage the development of social skills and independent learning, empowering students to achieve their full potential.
• Work in partnership with parents, teachers, and external professionals to provide comprehensive support for each child.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant within a UK-based primary school setting.
• Deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by students with SEN.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathy, patience, and an unwavering passion for working with children with special needs.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
• Relevant qualifications or training in special education are highly desirable.
