Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher with a passion for making a difference in the lives of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? TimePlan are seeking a compassionate and skilled Qualified Teacher to join a vibrant primary ASD base at a leading primary school in the heart of Balham.

Your Role

As a Qualified Teacher in our primary ASD base, you will:

  • Inspire and Engage: Develop and deliver personalized lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of students with ASD.
  • Support Development: Foster a positive learning environment that encourages academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with our dedicated team of support staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure the holistic development of each child.
  • Innovate: Use innovative teaching methods and resources to create an inclusive and stimulating classroom experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of students with ASD.
  • Assess and track student progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual learning goals.
  • Foster a safe and supportive classroom environment that promotes well-being and learning.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and professionals to provide updates and seek feedback on student progress.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in ASD education.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Experience working with children with ASD in an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges and strengths associated with ASD.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, creativity, and a positive approach to teaching and learning.
