Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Tower Hamlets, East London 

Salary: £90 - £95 per day

Start Date: September 2024

Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs (SEN). The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other staff to provide tailored support to students, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their academic and personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Support classroom teachers in managing student behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Help students with personal care tasks, where necessary.
  • Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
  • A patient, empathetic, and positive attitude.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are an advantage.
