Primary SEN Teaching Assistant

Here at Reed Education, we have the utmost dedication in seeking SEN Teaching Assistants. This job will see you attending various schools in Gateshead, contributing to supportive learning environments and meeting the needs of the children you support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated support to students with a range of Special Educational Needs
• Work with teachers to meet the individual needs of children by following their Education Health Care Plans
• Promote the children's social and emotional development, encouraging independence
• Assess the children's progress and report to the teachers and parents

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 Months experience working with SEN
• A patient and adaptable approach to challenging situations
• Secure communication and interpersonal skills
• Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant, Early Years or SEN qualification
• Enhanced DBS Check
