About the Role:

Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis in primary schools across Doncaster and the surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN) while enjoying the flexibility of supply work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Support the classroom teacher in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment
  • Help manage classroom behavior and promote positive social interactions
  • Adapt teaching materials and methods to meet the needs of individual students
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is essential
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential
