Primary Teacher - Alternative Provision

Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a Primary Teacher to work within an Alternative Provision in Burnley. As a Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Key Stage 2. The ideal candidate will have experience of working within children from Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, be able to deescalate challenging behaviour and understand SEMH.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons to students within Key Stage 2
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Manage and deescalate challenging behaviour using positive behaviour management strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for students.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience of teaching students from Key Stage 1 up to Key Stage 2.
  • A strong understanding of SEMH.
  • Excellent behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons to a diverse range of students.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience of working within an Alternative Provision setting.
  • Experience of working with students with Special Educational Needs.
