Primary Teaching Assistant - Thornbury, South Gloucestershire

Are you a recent graduate or do you have experience as a Teaching Assistant?

A fantastic school in Thornbury is looking for a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. They are seeking someone who is passionate about supporting students with SEN, ASD, and ADHD, either through personal or professional experience. As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will be an integral part of the team and receive support for your own personal development and well-being.

In this role, you will be working closely with a Year 6 pupil 1:1 who has ASD and ADHD. Your responsibilities as a Primary Teaching Assistant may include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting children's behaviour for learning in the classroom.
  • Assisting children in understanding the teacher's instructions.
  • Working with individual learners 1:1 or in small groups within the Learning Support department.
  • Monitoring and recording pupil progress.

Salary: £90-£100 per day
Hours: Full-time, 8:30 am - 4 pm
