Client Information:

My client is looking for an Principal Equipment Engineer to support the equipment engineers and technicians onsite. Including improvement projects and production support, working with specialist tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Equipment improvements and upgrades and assistance with installations
  • Working on associated equipment to minimize downtime during production to include phosphorous trap andgas cylinder changes using self-contained breathing apparatus SCBA (training will be provided, must be clean shaven).
  • Oversee chemical, gases and spare parts control, chemical fills and waste management.
  • Instruct and advise shift personnel in regard to procedure and solutions.
  • Assist with logistic projects. E.g. equipment relocation, cleanroom reorganization, shipping, etc.
  • Assist with shutdown activities.
  • Liaison with equipment and spares suppliers and specialist service providers (including the supervision of external contractors and field service engineers).
  • Develop and deliver preventative maintenance strategies to maximise equipment utilisation and up-time.

Requirements:

  • HNC or Degree in an Electrical/Mechanical Engineering discipline.
  • 5 years of experience within a Manufacturing/Semiconductor environment.
  • Excellent Wafer Fab semiconductor equipment experience.
  • Previous experience with MOVPE reactors or any CVD semiconductor equipment.
  • Familiar with the use of hazardous chemicals and gases
