Our client is a successful global private equity platform investing in consumer businesses (brands, hospitality, and technology). The team is currently looking to hire a Principal-level individual to increase capital deployment, and support expansion of portfolio companies.
Investing in growth and buyout opportunities and deploying tickets from €40Mio up to €200Mio, the firm is a differentiated investor which has built a concentrated and high performing portfolio for well over a decade. Taking long term views thanks to a unique structure (7 year + holding periods), their model allows them to act as genuine operators able to capture full value creation opportunities by establishing the time horizon of each investment as a function of the underlying asset and investment thesis.
The successful hire will share a passion and vision for sustainable growth in consumer businesses. The role will require strong affinity and experience in this segment, coupled with proven deal management experience in private equity and/or corporate development (preferably in FMCG or adjacent segments).
What the job involves
- Leverage the team's broad network to source and originate deals with entrepreneurs, advisors and like-minded investors in the wide-consumer space across Europe
- Responsible for preparing dynamic financial models, investment committee presentations and coordinating due diligence processes with advisors
- Take part in deal structuring and negotiating SPA/SHA
- Play a key role in portfolio management of new investments: interact with management on key business issues, support value creation initiatives, analyse possible exit scenarios and anticipate exit processes
- Experience leading deals within investment banking, private equity and/or corporate development with exposure to consumer
- Strong analytical capabilities and advanced financial and business modelling skills
- Exceptional project management and organisational skills, capable of managing complex workloads in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and presentation skills, comfortable engaging with senior management. Ability to work collaboratively
