Principal Planning and Highways Solicitor

Service Care Legal are currently working alongside a innovative shared legal service, based in Northamptonshire, which is in need of an experienced Planning and Highways Solicitor to join their team at a Principal level.

ROLE: Principal Planning and Highways Solicitor

LOCATION: Northamptonshire - remote with the requirement to attend committee meetings once a month

RATE: £50 - £60ph

CONTRACT LENGTH: 3 months ongoing

Key Responsibilities

• Provide planning and highways advice to internal clients and Councillors
• Review planning reports before they go to planning committee
• Attend planning committee once a month (evening meeting) and to attend Chair's briefing

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor with experience in Local Government
• Excellent knowledge of planning and highways law
• Ability to provide legal advice on all matters relating to Highways
• Ability to draft instructions to Counsel as required
