What you will do

We are looking for a Principal UX/UI Designer to deliver solutions for real world problems within the Security Products to transform our customers’ experiences. This is a key leadership role being part of a global, high performing, agile, and innovative team intent on delivering the best user experience to our global customers across both direct & indirect channels. In this role you will translate UX strategies and roadmaps into solutions and apply design vision and direction to drive execution to the committed vision and goals.

As a Principal UX/UI Designer your typical day will include:

  • Working alongside R&D team, product management, engineering team to define and build potential solution.

  • Validate design concepts at various stage, including working prototypes throughout the design process.

  • Lead others and explore new concept along the way in design scoping work.

  • Develop personas, customer journey maps, conceptual diagrams, wireframes and prototype.

How you will do it

  • Lead and evangelize a best in class UX/UI vision across Security Products

  • Strategize and drive research-led, user-centered experiences? with global perspectives on creative work, ? establishing the benchmark for what best customer enablement platform looks like

  • Support and facilitate customer engagement sessions as needed

  • Design and propose innovating solutions for variety of user experience challenges.

  • Guide conceptual designs through to launch and optimizing post-launch for positive end-user feedback & adoption

  • Drive the development and delivery of design including Competitive Analysis, Value Proposition, Positioning and Collateral Development

  • Develop and maintain user interface specifications.

  • Effectively presenting design work to stakeholders and leadership for review and feedback.

  • Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship for a team of UX Designers; lead creative and holistic thinking across diverse functions, technology platforms and devices,

  • Innovate, learn and leverage new technologies.

  • Create a flexible culture across the UX team to accommodate the changing needs and expectations of the program that’s in SAFe Agile

What we look for

  • Ability to work on site 3 days per week.

  • 6+ years of design experience as UX designer, interaction designer, product designer or similar role.

  • Experience in best practices for native mobile, touch, voice and web-based information system design.

  • Excellent communication, analytical and presentation skills to communicate complex concepts clearly.

  • Ability to conduct design review cycle and scoping work accurately.

  • Strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques.

  • Demonstrable track record of building prototype to final product experience and acquiring user data using usability studies, user interviews.

  • Sample of work or online portfolio demonstrating experience creating user-focused design solution.

  • Experience with variety of design tools, rapid prototyping tools.

  • Understanding and ability to prototype in HTML, JavaScript and CSS etc. is a plus.

  • Domain Knowledge in Electronic Security such as Video Surveillance and Access Control is a plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI) and work-related experience.
