Print Room Assistant

Location: Rochester

Salary: £26 395 + overtime £15,86PH

Working Schedule: 40 hours per week

Connect Personnel are representing a long-standing client who grow the highest quality fruit. They are currently in the market for an experienced Print Room Assistant to join their family business. They seek a dedicated individual to ensure the efficient operation of their manufacturing processes.

Qualifications and Skills for Print Room Assistant

As a Print Room staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of printed materials and labels with established standards and specifications. Your role involves conducting thorough inspections, implementing quality control measures, and collaborating with production teams to maintain high-quality standards throughout the printing process. This position requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Good knowledge of customer products and specifications, ability to read and understand daily production plans, stock lists and order processing.

Knowledge and ability to operate Cirrus system.

Work according to Production Plan to calculate quantity of labels that need printing and fill required documentation.

Conduct comprehensive inspections of printed materials, including labels, packaging, and promotional materials, to verify accuracy, clarity, and consistency.

Inspect printed labels for defects, such as misprints, smudges and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Verify with help of customer specification the integrity of variable data elements, such as barcodes, product codes, sizes etc. to ensure readability and accuracy.

Maintain detailed records of Label requests, used/unused labels and corrective actions taken if needed.

Participate in process improvement initiatives and continuous quality improvement projects to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in print production.

Conduct periodic cleaning of printing equipment, report if any defects so that issue can be resolved as soon as possible not to cause any delays to work process.

Need to create and adjust products templates as per customer requirements; add variable information such as sizes, growers, barcodes etc. to Print Manager Database and afterwards send new samples for approval and use.

Train and educate new team members on Label printing and Label Checks as required.
