Hiring Prison Officer for an Alternative Provision

Type: Full Time (Permanent)

Timings: 36 hours per week, between 8am and 4pm. Term time only (plus INSET days)

Salary: £26,421 - £27,334

Location: Harlow

About School: Alternative Provision covering KS1 until KS4

Job Description

  • You will be required to work within small groups and at times on a 1:1 basis with pupils who require additional support, under the teacher’s guidance.
  • You will need to have a proactive approach and use your initiative in situations including managing behaviour, with the class teacher offering you constant support.
  • Take responsibility for the safeguarding of the young people in your care.
  • Support the school team to provide a stimulating, safe, and nurturing environment for pupils to learn.
  • Use an enthusiastic and flexible approach to working and building positive relationships with pupils and staff.

Requirements:

  • Right To Work in the UK (NO SPONSORSHIP)
  • a passion for working with children with Learning Disability and Autism
  • Proficient in English language and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Personal or professional experience with children
  • Minimum 1 yr of experience working in the UK as a Teaching Assistant
