They are now looking for an accomplished and forward-thinking Private Client Tax Director with a specialism in Trusts and Estates to join their growing team. The successful candidate will lead their private client tax practice, managing a diverse portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, families, and trusts. This role involves providing expert strategic tax planning and advisory services, with a focus on trusts, estates, and succession planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Private Client Tax team, offering guidance and mentorship to junior staff members.
  • Manage a varied portfolio of private clients, including high-net-worth individuals, families, and trusts.
  • Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services, specialising in trusts, estates, inheritance tax, and succession planning.
  • Maintain and build strong client relationships, offering personalised advice to meet their specific needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant tax legislation and stay updated with changes in tax laws.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the firm to deliver comprehensive and integrated services to clients.
  • Drive business development initiatives to expand the private client tax practice.

About You:

  • ACA/CTA or equivalent qualification is essential; the STEP qualification is highly desirable.
  • Extensive experience in private client tax, with a strong focus on trusts and estates.
  • Proven ability to manage a portfolio of high-net-worth clients, delivering exceptional client service.
  • Deep technical knowledge of UK tax legislation relating to trusts, estates, inheritance tax, and succession planning.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain lasting client relationships.
  • Proactive and commercial mindset, with a focus on business development and practice growth.
