Role: Private Crime Solicitor
Location: London/Leeds/Manchester (1 day in office)
Salary: Market rate + Bonus

An established law firm and long term client of Simpson Judge are on the market for an experienced Crime Solicitor that is 7PQE+, and will help expand their ambitious growth plans into the West Midlands market. For the right candidate, a Birmingham based office will be established.

The successful candidate will be required to assist on solely privately funded clients, whilst delivering an exceptional level of client care. You will also be able to demonstrate strong advocacy skills and the ability to work with the minimal supervision and be able to be added on to the duty rota with the firms other Solicitors.
This will include:

-Offering expert legal counsel to clients, advising on their rights, potential defences, and the legal implications of their situation.
-Conduct in-depth case evaluations and investigations to develop a solid defence strategy.
-Represent clients in various legal proceedings, including pre-trial conferences, plea negotiations, trials, and sentencing hearings.
-Stay current with relevant laws, precedents, and regulations by conducting research and analysis.
-Work closely with barristers to develop effective legal strategies and align on case goals.
-Collaborate with other professionals, such as forensic experts, psychologists, or investigators, to enhance defence strategies.
- Uphold the highest ethical standards of the legal profession, maintain confidentiality, act in the best interests of clients, and adhere to professional codes of conduct.

You:

-You will be 7PQE+ in Criminal Law facing role, with a proven track record of managing your own caseload from start to finish, including guilty and not-guilty pleas.
-Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with impeccable grammar, spelling, and attention to detail.
-Possess strong negotiation skills to effectively represent clients and achieve desired outcomes.
