Process Engineer

Are you passionate about driving change and optimising manufacturing processes? Yolk Recruitment is excited to partner with an industry-leading organisation to find a dynamic Process Improvement Engineer. If you have a knack for enhancing machine reliability, reducing waste, and ensuring top-notch product quality, this is the role for you! Take charge of continuous improvement projects, spearhead new product development, and lead the installation of cutting-edge machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This is what you'll be doing:

  • Drive Process Innovation: Collaborate with engineering teams to design, re-design, and develop advanced process equipment, ensuring optimum reliability and repeatability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to maintain and improve operational processes and machinery performance.
  • Supplier Liaison: Partner with component and machine suppliers to resolve production and maintenance issues, driving continuous improvement.
  • Training & Development: Provide hands-on training and support to operators and team leaders, ensuring seamless operation of new equipment and processes.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Implement and champion Lean manufacturing principles across the business, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Quality Control: Investigate and address customer quality concerns using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and 8D methodology, aiming to reduce and eliminate recurring issues.
  • Cost Reduction: Identify opportunities to reduce production costs, project plan changes, and ensure challenging deadlines are met.
  • FMEA Creation: Develop Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to anticipate potential process failures and implement preventive measures.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Prepare essential engineering deliverables, such as Process Flow diagrams, Equipment Specifications, and ensure all activities comply with safety and quality standards.
  • Project Leadership: Lead meetings and projects that align with organisational goals, ensuring timely and effective delivery.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with beneficial experience in 2D and/or 3D CAD software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
