Process Operator required for Weekend Days. My client is a leading manufacturer of resins and polymers to a range of industries globally. They are now looking for a Process Operator to join their Weekend, day team. The ideal candidate will come from a Chemical manufacturing background, be familiar with sampling and product testing, will have an understanding of Chemical processes and will be based locally to Wigan.

Process Operator - Weekend Days Position Overview

  • Ensuring all batch process and operational activities are carried out in compliance with HSEQ requirements
  • Manufacturing products according to formulation batch sheets and specifications
  • Making accurate additions or adjustments to processes
  • Responding to required corrective and preventative action in a timely manner
  • Monitoring of raw materials requirements and informing supervisors when finished products are suitably packaged
  • Participating in Design / Hazard reviews

Process Operator - Weekend Days Position Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a Chemical Process role
  • Any previous experience on a COMAH site advantageous
  • An understanding of Chemical processes
  • An understanding of sampling and product testing
  • Experienced in troubleshooting production equipment and process
  • Experience operating Forklift Trucks
  • NVQ Level 2 in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering desirable
  • IOSH desirable
  • Valid Forklift licence (Reach or Counterbalance)
  • Based within a commutable distance of Wigan

Process Operator - Weekend Days Position Remuneration

  • £17.21 per hour
  • Friday - Sunday: 06:00 - 18:00 (36-hour week)
  • 23 Days holiday inclusive of public holidays
  • BUPA
  • Pension
