Our client is a well-established organisation based near Poole, seeking a Procurement Manager to join their expanding company.


The company has recently grown from strength to strength, winning new construction and facilities contracts. Due to their continued success, they require a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager.


The successful applicant will need to demonstrate an ability to oversee all aspects of procurement including stock management.

This will be a new role within the company so our client would be looking for someone able to help us implement new systems.

What will this role entail?
Reporting directly to the Head of Finance you will be responsible for the daily running of the procurement function.

Key duties will include:
• Checking prices paid for materials
• Negotiating with and influencing suppliers
• Identifying areas for improvement to current processes and procedures
• Monitor supplier performance, communicating any issues effectively to enable continuous improvement.
• Conducting regular stock takes and maintaining accurate records
• Provide monthly reports on savings made

Key Skills and Experience required to be considered for this vacancy?
• Proven experience gained in a Procurement & Stock Manager role
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
• A large number of tasks are completed using our specific software, but excellent IT skills are necessary and will include all Microsoft Office applications, Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Attention to detail.
• Initiative-taking and flexible work ethic.

Your working hours will be 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday

Salary: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
