An outstanding newly created Procurement Management opportunity to work for this hugely ambitious and fast-growing Cambridgeshire business. Operating in the green sector and with clearly defined and ambitious plans in place, this entrepreneurial organisation are looking for an Indirect Procurement professional who can take ownership and drive best-practice across this area.

Reporting to the CPO, this role will develop and embed the procurement strategy across a broad portfolio of Indirect spend with a high degree of autonomy and visibility across the organisation. Initially operating in a stand-alone capacity, it is expected that the remit will grow to encompass building and developing a team of procurement professionals aligned with the company growth. Working in an empowering and supportive culture with high levels of Executive support and buy-in, key areas of focus will include: negotiating pricing and contractual terms with suppliers; identify and assess supplier competence and drive performance levels; identify cost-effective solutions across all sourcing activities; work closely with the CPO in developing and embedding the procurement strategy; and developing positive stakeholder relationships across the organisation.


This exciting role will appeal to a Procurement professional with the ability to act as a true ambassador for procurement across the organisation who can raise both levels of capability and engagement within the organisation. You will have the ability to build and develop effective relationships with key internal stakeholders, demonstrating a full understanding of their drivers & requirements and identifying and providing appropriate support & solutions. With exceptional influencing skills, you will have the credibility and gravitas to secure buy-in and embed best-practice procurement.

To be successful, you will have demonstrable procurement experience and the ability to apply best-practice strategic sourcing principles, be results-orientated; comfortable working within a fast-paced, commercial working environment.
