Procurement Officer| Kent |£34,000-£36,000 per annum | Permanent| Hybrid

Client: 

Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a Public Sector Organisation in Kent to recruit a Procurement Officer on a permanent basis.

Within this role, you will be supporting and assisting the Procurement Manager on a range of commercial projects across the procurement function, contributing to the overall delivery of the procurement strategy. This is a great opportunity to further develop and work alongside a target driven and established procurement team.

The role offers a hybrid working policy; with the requirement to attend the office 2 days per week, with the other 3 days working from home.

Role:

  • Support and assist the Procurement Manager in a wider range of commercial projects and activities, contributing to the effective delivery of the procurement strategy
  • Ensure that all procurement and contract management activity is undertaken in accordance with agreed corporate procurement processes
  • Conduct research to identify suppliers
  • Utilising frameworks
  • Liaise with senior stakeholders on a regular basis

Individual:

  • An individual with previous purchasing/ procurement experience
  • Proficient communication skills, track record of efficient stakeholder management
  • A ‘ can do’ attitude
