Procurement Officer

Certain Advantage are recruiting on behalf of an ecommerce business for a Procurement Officer in Leeds. This is a permanent position requiring you to be onsite 3 days per week.

The role:

As a Procurement Officer, you will support the procurement strategy and processes. This role involves more than just reducing costs and maintaining quality, it's about making a significant impact on our team and the broader business.

• You will identify opportunities for improvement and build strong relationships both internally and externally.
• Manage and maintain the purchase order policies and procedures, to make sure they're up to date and that they are being followed by the wider business.
• Source the best suppliers for us and negotiate with them to obtain the best possible pricing and terms.
• Manage relationships with our suppliers to make sure we have high levels of service.
• Work with our external legal advisors to review supplier contracts, especially around capital projects and consultancy agreements.
• Own and manage the purchase order system.
• Ensure we are compliant with any regulatory and legal requirements.
• Use procurement data to find cost-saving opportunities and efficiency's.
• Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, performance, and savings achieved.

We're looking for people who can show:

• Ideally experience in the eCommerce industry.
• Ideally, you'll hold some form of professional certification in procurement or supply chain management.
• Experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to secure favourable terms.
• Knowledge of procurement software and tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong understanding of supply chain management.
