As a Procurement Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our client's procurement processes are efficient, cost-effective, and compliant with regulations. With your sharp analytical skills and keen eye for detail, you will collaborate with vendors and internal departments to negotiate contracts, assess supplier performances, and manage inventory levels. Your ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels will be essential in maintaining strong business relationships.

PLEASE NOTE DUE TO POLICE VETTING CRITERIA YOU MUST HAVE RESIDED CONTINUOUSLY WITHIN THE UK FOR AT LEAST 5 YEARS AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION.

Responsibilities:

Plan, strategize, and execute procurement activities to meet the organisation's objectives.
Analyse purchasing trends, monitor market conditions, and identify potential cost savings opportunities.
Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from sourcing suppliers to contract negotiation and supplier evaluation.
Ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies throughout the procurement process.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide timely procurement support.
Keep abreast of industry best practises and technological advancements to improve procurement processes.

Requirements:

Previous experience in procurement or supply chain management.
Working knowledge of procurement principles, practises, and regulations.
Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in MS Office Suite and procurement software.
Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
CIPS qualification or equivalent (desirable).
