Role: Procurement Officer

Location: Preston

Salary: £28,000 - £31,000

Contract: Permanent

Castlefield are currently recruiting a Procurement Officer to join a Public Sector organisation in Preston. The role is hybrid and will cover all category areas.

The Role:

  • To manage the provision of effective procurement services to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Support in the development and delivery of the organisation’s procurement strategy
  • Identify best procurement routes for specific projects
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers
  • Manage the contracts register
  • Strive for continuous improvement across procurement and contract management

The Person:

  • Experience in procurement
  • Public Sector experience desirable
  • Working across multiple areas
  • Ability to manage busy workload
  • Effective negotiator
