Are you a skilled Procurement Officer looking to make a positive impact in the Public Sector? Our client is seeking a dynamic individual to join their team as a Procurement Officer on a Fixed Term Contract. In this role, you will support procurement and contract management across, ensuring the best possible service is delivered within the available resources.

Responsibilities:

Support the delivery of Procurement, Purchasing, and Commercial strategies for our client.
Provide compliance advice to managers regarding operational procurement and commercial procedures.
Assist in addressing procurement risk mitigation strategies and managing risks within the organisation's appetite.
Maintain a partnership and contracts register to identify and maximise commercial benefits.
Contribute to the development and implementation of a contract management framework for third-party service providers.
Attend and facilitate contract management meetings, ensuring adherence to frameworks and mitigating contract risks.
Analyse framework agreements and collaboration arrangements to determine benefits and issues relevant to our client's needs.
Comply with the organisation's Contract Standing Orders.
Support the day-to-day operations of the Commercial Services team and contribute to its ongoing development.
Be an integral part of the Finance team, assisting in the efficient running of the department and its future growth.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar role.
Knowledge of procurement regulations and procedures in the Public Sector.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Proficient in using procurement software and MS Office applications.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CIPS) are desirable.
