Position Overview: As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our supply chain management. Your responsibilities will include sourcing, negotiating, ordering, inspecting, and receiving shipments of raw materials and products. You’ll ensure that shipments align with orders, maintain accurate records, and contribute to efficient inventory control. We’re seeking a detail-oriented professional with strong organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Purchasing:
- Collaborate with stakeholders and internal teams to order materials required for building custom machinery (including robotic machinery and specialized parts).
- Manage procurement processes, negotiate pricing, and monitor timely deliveries.
- Provide accurate reports to stakeholders regarding order status and inventory levels.
- Receiving and Inspection:
- Receive shipments, sign paperwork upon receipt, and unload packages from incoming trucks.
- Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged and verify packages against orders and invoices (quantity, quality, price, etc.).
- Inventory and Record Keeping:
- Maintain optimal inventory levels of regularly used materials.
- Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated storage locations.
- Keep accurate records and assist in overall inventory control.
- Prepare project orders for kitting.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or a related role within supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with inventory management and shipment processes.
