This role offers end-to-end responsibility for the development of new products and systems, aimed at expanding our clients market-leading range special purpose equipment. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on product design leader capable of taking new products from concept through research, design, and development, to the definition of accessories and options, and finally to marketing and launch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and apply appropriate British Standards to the design process.
  • Conduct detailed design and prototyping of products.
  • Perform operational testing.
  • Select third-party solutions and suppliers as necessary to create a complete product offering.
  • Produce documentation, including O&Ms, assembly manuals, and drawings.
  • Provide input to the marketing and launch of products as required.
  • Become the internal subject matter expert on the technical aspects of our product range.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree qualified in an engineering subject.
  • Experience in product design and development in an industrial environment.
  • Ability to draw on external resources and identify suppliers where required.
  • Experience with sheet metal design.
  • Experience in a closely related field such as HVAC, fan systems, industrial filtration, or a comparable industry.
  • Proficiency with Inventor or SolidWorks.

In return, our client is offering the following:

  • £50,000 - £55,000
