Product Development Specialist 

Salary: £33k-£35k depending on experience 

Our client, Grandma Wilds, is an award-winning artisan biscuit & bakery manufacturer founded in 1899. Due to continued growth, they are now looking for a Product Development Specialist to join their existing team either full or part time

Lead Product Development

The business is looking for someone with the existing skills and experience required to support all product development activity within the bakery. The ideal candidate will be able to support the business in ensuring both the existing and new, product development end-to-end processes are completed on time and in full.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the concept to launch process - focusing on the concept stages before product sign off
  • Support with innovation concepts and looking into food trends
  • Supporting factory trials
  • Support following and completing process documentation
  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure our products are the best in class
  • Work in collaboration with technical experts within the business safeguarding the quality of our ranges

First and foremost, you will have a passion for food and innovation. You will have knowledge of the biscuit & bakery industry (not essential) and experience working within the food development process. You will have great relationship building skills being able to connect and work with many stakeholders across the business with the ability to influence at all levels. Enthusiasm and drive to deliver results with commercial judgement is also key.
