I am recruiting for an Assessment/Product Manager - BAFE for a repeat client specialising in the assessment & accreditation of UK organisations. This is a full-time, remote position, working from 9am–5pm, Monday to Friday with occasional weekend travel. You should expect to travel for up to 2-3 days per week, with at least 2 nights spent away from home. You will have a strong background in supply chain focusing on BAFE (British Approvals for Fire Equipment) Schemes and willbe the key focal point for customers, meeting their accreditation expectations with objectivity, diligence, and excellent customer service. 

Main Duties:

• Supply Chain Coordination: Select and manage assessment teams, ensuring efficient resource allocation and smooth operations.
• Operational Planning: Establish and implement assessment approaches, optimising processes for maximum efficiency.
• Leadership: Lead assessments and coordinate teams, driving performance and ensuring high standards.
• Reporting: Collate and report on each assessment, providing clear and actionable insights.
• Project Management: Progress each assessment project from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

Key Requirements: 

• Supply Chain Expertise: Extensive experience in supply chain management within BAFE - British Approvals for Fire Equipment (sprinklers, fire alarms, extinguishers, etc).
• Schemes Knowledge: Knowledge of one of more of the following BAFE schemes; SP101, SP203-1, SP203-3, SP205 or SP207.
• Operational Efficiency: Proven track record of improving operational processes and enhancing supply chain efficiency.
• Customer Focus: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills, with a customer-centric approach.
• Auditing/Assessment: Experience in organisation auditing or assessment.
• UK Driving License: A valid UK driving license and own vehicle are essential for this position due to the extensive weekly travel.
