A well-established international product development company are looking for an experienced candidate to cover maternity leave within a small UK based product and marketing team;

This role requires a capable individual to hit the ground running. Working closely with existing retail buyers, online partners, distribution channels, our global product development team and Far East manufacturers

Description

Management of New Product Development Projects

  • Conceptualising new products and concepts suited to the marketplace and/or specific customer accounts, with input from business managers.
  • Developing detailed product sourcing briefs and then working with an international team of product developers to bring ideas to life, in a timely and cost effective manner.
  • Concise communication and coordination with international teams throughout development to meet deadlines. Including development of samples, artwork, packaging and pricing. Ensuring that key supplier criteria and business parameters are met.
  • Coordination of information through the chain, including all logistics partners, to ensure on time delivery.
  • Ensuring in all of the above that product safety and quality is designed into products and maintained.

Ongoing Product Range Management

  • Maintenance of detailed product specification manual for all items (incorporating all product updates). Including issuing to suppliers and ensuring all supplier specifications are up to date, including up to date supplier pricing for all items.
  • Sales forecasting for current business.
  • Ensuring on time delivery for all ongoing products. Including expediting /de-expediting of orders.
    • Liaising with suppliers on ongoing product / order queries.
    • Ongoing liaison with freight forwarding companies.
  • Involvement in deleted stock management.

Account Management

Account responsibility for existing UK customer base including at least one leading UK grocer and one leading UK high street or online retailer.

Manage and develop strong customer relationships, including timely communication aligned with specific retail calendars.

  • Schedule, prepare for and attend customer meetings as required, including development of all presentation materials required and presentation of these to the customer.
  • Feedback of information / recommendations to business manager for input / approval.
  • Completion of customer paperwork as required (for promos, NLF's, online portals etc).
  • Involvement in customer planogram development.
  • Track ongoing range performance, review and provide analysis when required (Varies by account, weekly/quarterly etc).
  • Follow customer specific QA requirements. Completion of any documents required and management of any audit compliance required.
  • Maintain online content by customer.

Coordination and provision of information for loading in SAP/warehouse databases

Profile

Strong computer literacy - Competent in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Gmail.

Project management skills - Multi tasker.

Clear, concise communication, presentation and writing skills.

Great attention to detail.

Good time management skills.

Personable, able to build and maintain strong relationships.

Commercial mindset with the ability to determine commercial viability of new products and ideas.

Job Offer

Competitive salary - 45-60kpa

14 month FTC

Hybrid working - 2 days office based, 3 working remotely.
