Job Title: Product Support Coordinator (engines)
Location: Derby, UK (Primarily off-site, working across the region as required)
Contract: 45 hours per week, salaried (no overtime)
Job Overview: We are seeking a Product Support Engineer (PSE) Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our products and services consistently meet customer expectations throughout their lifecycle. The PSE Coordinator will plan, organize, and deliver support for our customers at various company sites and customer locations. This position requires a hands-on approach, including physically working on products as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Service Delivery:
Organize and oversee the installation, servicing, and warranty support for our products, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
* Project Management:
Collaborate with the Project Management team to deliver projects on time and within budget, ensuring all necessary resources are available.
* Quality & Safety Compliance:
Lead by example in health, safety, and environmental management, ensuring the team adheres to all relevant regulations.
* Customer Interaction:
Maintain strong relationships with customers, address complaints, and identify potential revenue opportunities.
* Continuous Improvement:
Implement lean tools and techniques, such as 5S, to improve efficiency and reduce waste in all operations.
Person Specification:
* Essential Qualifications:
o Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering ONC or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
* Desirable Qualifications:
o HNC/HND level, NVQ Level 4, or a Foundation degree.
o Project Management or NEBOSH/IOSH certification.
* Skills & Experience:
o Strong technical ability in fault finding and leading teams across multiple locations.
o Good understanding of Health and Safety legislation.
o Proficiency in IT, particularly MS Excel, and ability to compile technical reports.
* Behavioural Competencies:
o Flexible, hands-on approach with a "can-do" attitude.
o Collaborative and reliable, with a strong focus on customer service delivery.
o Demonstrates a commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, excellence, innovation, and teamwork.
Other Requirements:
* Valid driving licence.
