The Production Engineer - SMT/Electronics based in Hertfordshire will be working for a leading organisation in the electronics industry. You will ensure all products can be manufactured in a quality assured, reliable, scalable and repeatable manner, removing process variability and risk.

You will define and maintain SMT process, procedures and documentation, to enable operator-based assembly of complex PCB and complete product assemblies. You will monitor and improve SMT efficiency, quality and processes.

The ideal Production Engineer - SMT/Electronics based in Hertfordshire will be responsible for:

- Receive and process all incoming technical specifications and data issued from Customers in accordance with company procedures.

- Develop and introduce new manufacturing solutions and processes and products.

- Carry out a critical review of SMT assembly processes for existing products making recommendations for and implementation of process improvements.

- Responsible for 'in-process' Continuous Improvement activities across SMT assembly areas.

- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and Engineering Change Notes (ECN) by creating new programs for example for Pick & Place, Reflow, Stencils, and Tooling.
