Systems Safety Engineer
Yeovil - Hybrid working.
12-month Contract
Paying up to £64.50 p/h DOE (Umbrella)

ARM has partnered with an Aerospace client who is looking for an experienced Systems Safety Engineer to be based out of their site in Yeovil. As the Systems Safety Engineer, you'll be responsible for system safety development and in-service System Safety activities.

Responsibilities:
* Development of Operational, Product and System Safety artefacts and associated documentation in accordance with Defence Standard 00-056 for Land Based Training systems and equipment.
* Performing Hazard Identification and Analysis (Preliminary, Functional Failure, Operating and Support & Occupational Health Analysis)
* Liaising between customers, and suppliers to ensure appropriate evidence is available to support the Safety Case.
* Identify, monitor and execute risks, issues and opportunities and support in the development of mitigation plans.
* Assist in the implementation of the BDUK Safety Management System within BDUK Training Service and support the development of systems safety engineering planning and products across a diverse range of services.
* Proactively support customer safety meetings and chair System Safety Working Groups
Experience required:
* Hold a relevant level qualification in safety engineering.
* Have experience in creating Hazard Logs, Safety Cases, Safety Case Reports and Safety Arguments.
* Have experience working on MOD projects ideally in Land, Aerospace or Maritime sectors.
* Have experience in producing Project/Programme Safety Management Plans.
* Previous experience with training equipment would be beneficial.
* Need to be eligible to obtain SC-level security clearance.
