My client is a well-established Mobile Elevating Work Platform manufacturer and one of the largest in Europe which supplies worldwide, to continue this they are looking for a Production Engineer to join their Robotics and Automation team. As a Production Engineer you will be tasked with researching and implementing automation and robotic solutions into their manufacturing facilities. This is supporting the manufacturer on new and existing products. My client is currently Supplying over 40 companies worldwide and with over 600 employees across the UK.

Production Engineer (Automation & Robotics)

Milton Keynes
£35,000 - £50,000 DOE and Bonus plus additional package, including 25 days holiday, healthcare scheme, 5% pension contribution, Annual bonus, cycle to work scheme, free family events, free company lunches and more.

Working Monday – Friday (0800 - 1630)

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Communicate and support drawing issues / changes within production.
  • Reviewing customer orders.
  • Generate accurate BOMs and work order information on company manufacturing systems.
  • Hands on analysis, problem solving and development of all production processes and methods.
  • Develop and maintain the necessary practices to achieve excellent standards through 5S and Visual Factory.
  • Develop and support engineers with continuous training aligning with new methods and practices.
  • Maximise effectiveness and efficiency or all operations and engineering specifications.
  • Administration of controlled builds and maintaining accurate manufacturing BOMs.
  • Develop manufacturing cells, flow line, single piece flow principles throughout product, supply areas.
  • Basic mechanical and electrical repairs.
  • Control and monitor company automated weld integrity.
  • Deliver requirements based on control, systems and procedures – MIG, MAG, GMAW and TIG welding processes, provide technical assistance to all associated departments with weld issues.
  • Concept design, planning, sourcing and implementation or automation solutions.
  • Stock control – system management of spares.
  • Ensure welding facility meets OHSAS 18001 & IS0 14001 standards.

To apply you MUST have or hold:

  • Degree in Robotics / Engineering or 5 years specific experience.
  • Strong understanding of robotic applications.
  • Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma in manufacturing environment.
  • Able to read engineering drawings.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong organisation and planning skills.
  • Good negotiation skills and conflict management skills.
  • Strong IT skill set.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Positive attitude
  • Self motivated.
  • Dedicated to hitting project and company goals.
