We are looking for an organised, switched-on individual with a love of product to join a forward-thinking brand as their Production Manager. You will be leading this company’s development and delivery of product for their UK and international client base, liaising between internal teams and their international vendor base to ensure projects are running smoothly, being produced accurately, and are in line with agreed critical path delivery dates.

The successful applicant will have a background in product development or production management for retail products / consumer goods, and have a genuine love of retail and product. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a proactive, can-do approach to join a successful brand who work with leading retailers worldwide.

Responsibilities for this Production Manager role include:

  • Working closely with global suppliers, negotiating costs, lead times, and sampling requirements
  • Project managing the end-to-end production process, liaising closely with the vendor base to ensure all is running smoothly and on track
  • Managing and owning the critical path for products and ranges, tracking progress, and ensuring all agreed dates are met
  • Sourcing new suppliers and factories to optimise costs and ensure best quality, whilst diversifying and enhancing the company's product offering
  • Developing excellent working relationships with their global supplier base, retail partners, and internal teams to ensure the smooth and swift development and delivery of product to market
  • Working closely with the design team to generate new product ideas that meet customer requirements, continually improving existing ranges and introducing innovative solutions to the market
  • Ensuring excellent quality standards are achieved, all required testing has been carried out, and working with external partners to ensure all industry regulations are met
  • Leading efforts to incorporate sustainability into the product lifecycle, promoting eco-friendly practices and materials both within the company and with external partners, to meet growing environmental and consumer demands

Skills & experience required:

  • Solid production management experience developing products for leading retailers, ideally within gifting, homewares, or similar
  • Experience working directly with global suppliers including the Far East
  • Strong trend awareness, constantly looking at new development opportunities for both products and ranges
  • Critical path management experience, with the ability to work to tight deadlines and in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent negotiations skills, someone who is commercial and proactive
  • A keen interest in product and retail, with a commercial eye
  • Strong Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
  • Proactive and organised with a friendly approach!
