Production Operative

Metalis are currently supporting a leading inspection company who are at the forefront of quality checking aerospace components.

Working in a clean environment, our client is seeking a dedicated individual to join their team.

Job Summary:

You will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the aerospace inspection facility. This is an entry-level, unskilled position that involves various tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the testing/quality processes.

A desirable qualification for this role is a Forklift Truck (FLT) counterbalance license.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the movement and handling of materials within the production area, ensuring that components are transported safely and efficiently.

• Operate machinery and equipment under the guidance of skilled technicians, contributing to the production of aerospace NDT inspection components.

• Collaborate with the quality control team to perform basic inspections of components, reporting any deviations or issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Contribute to the cleanliness and organization of the production area. Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment. Report any safety concerns promptly.

Person Specification and experience:

• Forklift Truck (FLT) License: Desirable. A valid FLT counterbalance license is a plus.
• No specific experience required; however, any previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is advantageous.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong team collaboration and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing production needs.
