Production Operative

Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working on behalf of Naylor to recruit a number of Production Operatives for their site in Cawthorne, Barnsley due to recent expansion.

Naylor provides a comprehensive range of high quality, high performance drainage, ducting and sewerage systems for use in the highways, power, utilities, commercial, industrial, housing and agriculture sectors. Its products have been specified for more than a century and are engineered to suit the needs of today’s construction industry and of wider society.

Hourly Rate: £14.02 per hour plus £200 monthly attendance bonus

Salary: £29,343 + Bonus

The shift pattern: 6am - 6pm / 6pm - 6am. This is 12-hour day/nights, working a Panama shift pattern; average 40.25 hours per week

Overview: Duties will include removing plastic pipe from machinery, coiling and packing. You will also maintain legible records and good standards of housekeeping. This role will include some manual work.

The Role:

• Ensure the correct availability of materials
• Ensure all goods are packed securely with identification labels
• Coiling of plastic pipe
• Completing records accurately at regular intervals
• Monitoring scrap
• Keeping the work area clean & tidy
• Ensure compliance with rules and procedures
• Follow standard operating procedures
• Be a continuous improvement champion
• Any other duties, as demanded by the job role and as requested by your line manager as and when required

The Successful Candidate:

• Experience within a manufacturing setting
• Experience of using hand tools would be of an advantage
• Good standard of verbal and written English
• Positive can-do attitude
• Must be able to use own initiative
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must have own transport or be able to commute to the site reliably
