Are you an experienced Production Operative looking for a new opportunity? Are you wanting to join a brilliant team on a permanent basis in Wigan, working for our highly successful manufacturing client.

This is a permanent, full-time role working rotational shifts.

Shift pattern: 5 x 8 hour shifts Monday to Friday, rotating between days, afternoons and nights on a weekly basis (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am).

Initial shifts may vary in order to meet the needs of training and induction requirements.

Salary: Equivalent of £24,395 per annum rising to £26,971 per annum after successful completion of a 6 month probation period (salary paid weekly)

The Role:

You'll work closely and collaborate with the team being responsible for all areas of the tile manufacturing process and ensuring that our products are made to the highest quality standards.

You'll directly contribute to and support the overall performance of the Plant by playing a vital role in achieving the daily production volume targets on the production line.

This role will suit someone who enjoys working in a team within a fast paced/busy working environment.

Full PPE will be provided upon commencing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhering to Health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
  • Operating and maintaining Production line machinery, equipment and mobile plant.
  • Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping and cleanliness by taking full ownership of your working area.
  • Regular quality control monitoring and recording through both visual and physical inspection of products.
  • Identification and safe resolution of breakdowns and quality issues in partnership with the maintenance team.
  • Proactively report safety and quality issues as soon as they are discovered.
  • FLT Counterbalance Licence - desirable

Person Profile:

  • Knowledge and experience of working on a production line
  • Basic Maths and English skills
  • Basic writing skills
  • Good standard of verbal communication
  • A dependable team player
  • Ability to maintain high standards of quality and safety
