We are looking for Production Operatives for our busy animal feeds production plant near Banbury, Oxfordshire.

Banbury, OX17 3AA

  • Full time, Permanent / Part-time or Flexible working will be considered
  • £13.78 per hour normal day shift
  • £14.78 per hour weekday, night-shift
  • £17.23 per hour weekday overtime
  • Equating to £28,662.40 per annum basic (before allowances, bonuses and overtime). Expected earnings - £30,000+ with overtime, loyalty bonus, production bonus and night shift allowance.  Auto enrolment pension scheme.

The Production Operative role is an opportunity for individuals with drive and a good level of communication to learn a number of disparate skills, within a small, dedicated team in a long-standing, well established and profitable business.

The job will encompass working within the production environment where you will be dealing with both raw materials (goods in) and finished products (goods out). You will be trained to understand and run the production process, use a tele-handler and fork-lift, complete quality control checks and work within the Company’s Quality and Health & Safety systems, as well as a number of other skills, such as, using and understanding the Company's production computer system, maintenance and cleaning of the production plant and, operation of the Company’s weighbridge.

The Company aims to create multi-skilled operatives with good knowledge in all facets of production. In return, the Company can offer excellent rates of pay, with overtime, bonuses, night shift allowance and other benefits, including our auto-enrolment pension scheme.

The right applicant needs to hold a full car licence. A FLT / loading shovel licence is also required, although training can be given.  Basic computer literacy is beneficial but not essential.


Working hours:

Ideally, we are looking to recruit personnel into our standard shift patterns; however, we are also keen to hear from individuals who are looking for part-time or more flexible working hours.

Normal production shifts are:

7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am or three 12 hour shifts followed by one 8-hour shift.
