Job Elements

  • Liaise with sales department to determine customer requirements
  • Develop and manage the production schedule in line with customer requirement dates, ensuring products are ready to meet this date
  • Develop daily and weekly production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met
  • Determine material, equipment and labour requirements
  • Prepare status and performance reports and resolve production issues
  • Maintain, update and communicate the daily plan and associated process documents as required
  • Liaise with the Raw Materials Team to ensure the availability of materials
  • Liaise with Internal Sales and Transport Teams to ensure customer requirements are on schedule
  • React accordingly to changes in customer demand
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration and innovation, with an emphasis on embracing technology to maximise efficiency

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a fast paced Manufacturing Supply Chain environment - ideally food or food packaging manufacturing or equivalent
  • Full understanding of capacity and resource planning
  • Use of SAGE or other relevant ERP based platforms
  • Works effectively - tackling immediate demands decisively, whilst retaining a broad awareness of emerging requirements.
  • Good IT Proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word) with the ability to learn and use business specific applications
