A global engineering business require a Production Planner. Applicants need planning experience (inventory, supply chain, material, production planning, production control), strong competency in MS Excel, analytical ability and MRP/ERP experience.

The Production Planner will be responsible for creating weekly manufacturing plans derived from the Master Production Schedule which maximise the utilisation of resources to meet customer demand. Generated schedules will be communicated to suppliers to allow for effective supply planning, while appreciating potential capacity and resource constraints.

Specific duties of the Production Planner include:

  • Create and update weekly work schedule
  • Report on daily fulfilment KPIs such as OTIF
  • Monitor material shortages - liaison with suppliers and procurement
  • Raise Job cards inline with MRP and ensure integrity of data
  • Track progress of manufacturing schedules and update accordingly
  • Interdepartmental liaison - Procurement, Production, Material Handling

Production Planner applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Experience of planning (inventory, supply chain, material, production planning, production control)
  • Previous experience of a fast-paced production environment - manufacturing, food, FMCG etc
  • Strong competency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, Vlookup, Formulas etc).
  • MRP/ERP experience
  • Interdepartmental engagement skills
