Production Planner

Your new role
Hays Supply Chain are excited to be recruiting a new role as a Production Planner, based in Grimsby. The Production Planner will be responsible for ensuring the production schedule/plan is on-time and running smoothly between departments. The role will be a day-based, working 4-on-4-off shift pattern.
Duties of the role will include:

• As part of the planning team, ensuring appropriate stock levels are maintained, so production teams are not waiting for materials.
• Maintaining stock targets and scheduling raw materials to meet the production plan.
• Ensuring medium to long-term forecasts are maintained to ensure product and material availability.
• Following up with suppliers regarding quality issues, rejections, and returns.
• Updating the schedules to include the latest sales information and production plans.

This will be a busy role offering plenty of opportunities for growth and progression as we work to support an exciting new customer.

What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this Production Planner role, you will be able to demonstrate:

• Prior experience of working in a planning role or working with a planning department, ideally in manufacturing with food/FMCG being preferred.
• Ideally with experience of using SAP.
• Highly organised and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
