Job Title: Planning Administrator
Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week) with potential for part-time (25–30 hours per week, Mon-Fri, flexible)
Salary: £27,000 per annum (pro rata for part-time)
Location: Outskirts of Thetford
Job Overview: We are seeking a Planning Administrator to join our clients supply chain team. In this role, you will support our site by preparing and maintaining the most efficient packing production schedule for their packing lines, taking into account customer orders, agreed stock holding levels, and factory efficiencies/shift patterns.

Key Responsibilities:
- Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain packing schedules that meet customer demands (OTIF) and inventory targets, ensuring they are realistic and achievable.
- Resource Allocation: Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure effective allocation of materials, labour, and equipment to meet packing goals.
- Inventory Management: Regularly monitor inventory levels to optimize stock and reduce waste and costs.
- Capacity Planning: Assess production capacity, identify constraints, and develop plans to address these issues to meet production targets.
- Data Analysis: Use production data to track performance against schedules, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions as needed. Compile and report weekly KPIs.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Practical and proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to react to a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in data analysis and numerical skills with the ability to evaluate, analyse, and present data
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to build effective relationships in a cross-functional team environment
- Ability to deliver high-quality work while meeting tight deadlines
- Competent in Microsoft Excel
