PRODUCTION PLANNER

DAY SHIFT

SALARY £30,000 TO £35,000 PER ANNUM

We are currently working with a global engineering and manufacturing business based in the North-East. They are looking for an experienced Production Planner to join their team.

The role responsibilities:

  • Manage all planning activities including works order creation, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure works orders are aligned to customer requirement date based on factory capacity, reporting exceptions daily.
  • Control of material requirements planning release, creating a plan over planning horizon.
  • Daily review of order book and align works orders, providing clear customer updates daily.
  • Ensure all materials are available prior to scheduling handover.
  • Work closely with scheduling to minimise manufacturing inefficiencies through changeovers and line stops.
  • Drive collaborative forecasting between suppliers and premier customers.
  • Support internal and external audits as required.
  • Manage component inventory in line with production plans and support plan adherence.

The person we’re looking for:

  • Minimum of 3 years production planning experience.
  • Problem Solving skills.
  • Lean training and experience.
  • Understanding of production processes.
  • Professionalism and integrity always.
  • Good level of computer experience including Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
