Production Team Leader

We are currently seeking a Production Team Leader to work in a new department at a well-known high quality precious metals manufacturer in central Birmingham.

This role requires an experienced individual who prides themselves on their ability to lead a team and their machine operating experience. The right candidate needs to be committed to quality production and performance alongside adaptability.

Job Requirements:
- Experience operating machinery and human interface systems (Siemens experience desirable)
- Competent operating machinery
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to be adaptable and multi-task
- Knowledge of working and handling precious metal powders and casting materials
- Understanding of health and safety with a production environment
- Experience and knowledge of working with raw materials.

Job Responsibilities:
- Operate and develop a new department working on bespoke machinery.
- Oversee and ensure all staff are trained in and utilize safe methods of operation.
- Conduct regular stock takes and develop procedures to maximise precious metal yield and recovery.
- Work across sections of the warehouse operating multiple machines alongside maintaining and cleaning.
- Weighing and measuring materials such as powder as per specifications

The working hours are 37.5 per week with an early finish on a Friday: Monday to Friday negotiable hours.

The rate of pay for the successful Production Team Leader is £13.50 per hour.
