JRS are proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client in Camberley for a Production Team Leader to come and join their successful and expanding business.

We are looking for an experienced people manager to have full responsibility for the team, procedures, and processes within the department. The successful Team Leader will manage, motivate and engage the team to meet company targets. Lead by example by creating a positive and respectful environment within the team based upon the company values.

The Team Leader will work a rotating shifts of early and late. Early shift 6am - 2pm and late shift 1.30pm - 10pm (1pm - 6pm on Friday)

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Daily allocation of resources and workload
  • Plan, prioritise and monitor KPIs
  • Train, guide and develop team members by setting objectives within the team and with individuals
  • Drive improvements within the team and organisation
  • Management of shift changeover
  • Maintain accurate traceability system
  • Responsibility of production output and scrap rates
  • Liaising with other departments and shifts regarding problems, quality issues and job progress etc
  • Ensure cleanliness and safe working environment
  • ISO9001 and 14001 control and conformance

Required Skills

  • Supervisory and people management experience essential
  • Demonstrable experience of appraisals and performance management
  • Experience of dealing with conflict and disciplinary procedures
  • Experience of production management desirable
  • Excellent communication skills, organisation and time management skills
  • Experience of KPI development, implementation and reporting
  • Intermediate IT skills including MS Teams, Excel and Word
