Job Description -Production Technician

U.S.E. (Ultimate Sports Engineering), incorporates Exposure Lights / OLAS, functions as a manufacturer and distributor of inventive sports merchandise, principally to cycling and marine activities. However, its scope has recently broadened to encompass the fields of Medical and Auto as well. With a global presence, the company holds a prominent position as a frontrunner in specialised domains. Situated in the picturesque surroundings of West Sussex within the South Downs National Park, U.S.E. draw inspirations from dedicated cyclists and motivated by cyclists with an obsession with creating the ultimate in state-of-the-art components to improve performance and enjoyment.

This is an opportunity to join a highly successful manufacturer of cycling, medical, marine and automotive products, with an obsession to design and produce some of the finest sports products in the world.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Production / Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. A background in assembly production would be advantageous, but not essential as full training will be provided. The components you will be handling are very small, and therefore diligence and care are paramount in this role.

Reporting to the Assistant Production Manager your key responsibilities will include:

· Assembly of portable medical lighting assemblies

· Soldering PTH

· Rework and surface mount placement.

· Operating Laser Etcher

· Product quality control checks and final product testing

· Testing and packing product as required.

Experience

· Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is advantageous.

· Mechanical knowledge to understand product specifications and assembly processes.

· Good manual dexterity

· Attention to detail.

· Self-motivated

· Team player

Other

Driving license an advantage

Permit to work in the UK (required)
