Firm:

A Manchester based Defendant Insurance firm is looking to recruit into its Professional Indemnity team, to focus on Defending Claims against Architects, Engineers and Financial Advisors in relation to Insurance Policy coverage. This will cover Insurance and Reinsurance Disputes; and Claims relating to Construction, Property Damage, Cyber and Aviation Matters.

Responsibilities:

The firm is looking for someone who is a NQ – 5 years’ PQE Solicitor, that specialises in Professional Indemnity with demonstrable history of working on Construction Indemnity cases. The team you'd be joining undertakes a broad range of substantial, challenging, largely Contentious work. This includes Defending Claims against a wide variety of professional service providers.

There are some essential requirements for you to be considered for the role:

  • Experience of Insurance Litigation and Policy Coverage Analysis is essential
  • Experience of Professional Risk Claims relating to Construction Disputes is essential
  • Experience of Professional Risk Claims in other areas is highly desirable
  • Understanding of Commercial Insurance policies, the Insurance Market, reporting arrangements, reserving philosophies, and the relationship between Brokers, Underwriters/Insurers and Lawyers is essential
