Programme Manager - DfT - National Highways - £820p/d - Inside IR35

A Programme Manager with experience in DfT Tier 1 programmes, risk management and project management is required by a leading consultancy working on the Department for Transports projects. You will be mainly covering National Highways on telecommunications so you must have the following experience:

  • DfT (Department for Transport) Tier one programmes
  • Project Management experience
  • Worked on national-scale projects, ideally on National Highways

As the Programme Manager, you will have the following duties:

    • Assure the existing project management processes and products to ensure alignment with Tier 1 best practice. Identify gaps and make recommendations to address either from this role or utilising existing resources on the project or additional resource where this is not possible.
    • Undertake an assessment of the existing project plan to develop fully resourced project plan with work break down structures and identify resource gaps and efficiencies.
    • Work with project team to mature governance and structure of the project (including roles and responsibilities, Terms of Reference and forward resource requirements).
    • Work with project team to mature risk, issue and dependency management (including RAID and a defined risk management escalation path).
    • Define/advise on setting up the processes to manage and record key project information and decision-making.

The role can be based out of Birmingham or London and requires 2 days a week in the office

A large scale DfT (Tier 1) programme delivering a telecommunications service. This role is focused on programme assurance and ensuring proper project management processes are followed for a programme of its size and scale (Tier 1).

It is paying up to £820 p/d and is a 12-month contract, with a chance that this will be extended several times.
